At 2 months Rett is losing hair but gaining lots of weight! He smiles and coos all day long. He is mesmerized by his big sister. He doesn't nap consistently, but sleeps well at night. He holds his head up great to look around and likes to try to stand up.

Everett's Blessing Day
Tommy was able to give Rett a blessing on Sunday, December 4th. My mom, dad, brothers and brother-in-law took time to come out from California to be a part of the special day. (Thank you everyone for coming out. And, thank you sister-in-laws and sister for letting them come!)
Unfortunately, my home had been invaded with sicknesses before, during, and continued after they had arrived. We have had two eyes with pink eye, an ear infection, a sinus infection, fifths disease (slapped cheek), and two cases of a cold in these last 2 1/2 weeks.
As a result, we were able to preform the blessing in our home instead of our church building. And amazingly only 1 out of all the visitors went home to find himself with symptoms of a cold!

Maya's new hobby
Maya has become quite the artist lately. Her favorite things to do are draw and write. It is fun to sit with her and listen to her explain what she is drawing or writing.
Smiley Face
Look closely, you can see a big circle for the head, two smaller circles for eyes, and a line for a mouth (through the eyes).

Halloween 2011
Happy Halloween!

Trick or Treating was a lot of fun this year, we only went to one neighbor's house last year. Maya loved it, after every house she would say, "just one more house." She was even brave enough to say "trick or treat," before the door opened anyway. Lucky girl, her aunt Tor Tor was talked into coming along too.

Our little Rett came as a surprise when I went in for a Non-Stress Test, for being over due, and was admitted because his heart rate dropped after a contraction. All went smooth and very quick.

Breakfast with the Witches
My sister-in-law, Jackie, invited us to go and eat breakfast with the witches this morning. There was great food and entertainment, well worth the money! Check out the fun we had...

Habit forming too young?
The ladies hit the town last night... My mom, sister-in-law Shelby, aunt Anne, Maya and I went out to get pampered. I think Maya loved the pedicure a little too much (sorry Tommy), she had to be a part of the whole process right along with me. They enjoyed doing Maya's nails too, they went above and beyond with extra coats of polish and fancy decorations.

A Cinderella Birthday
Ever since Maya heard my birthday was coming up, a few weeks ago, she has been talking about my birthday cake. She decided that I was going to have a "Cinderella Cake" made by her and daddy. We've been hearing about it every day since.
The day finally came...

Dinosaur Park
On Labor Day we took Maya to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden. She enjoyed pointing out the dinosaur that she saw, but liked hunting for the "black boxes" even more (the speakers that made the dinosaur noises).

The playground was the perfect size for her, she was completely independent and it was fun to watch her run around non-stop.

She got to search for fossils, using a paintbrush in the sand. And, got a souvenir dinosaur water bottle before we headed for home.
