Jensen Family Christmas Party

Every year Tommy's family has a big party to celebrate Christmas and enjoy being with family.  There is lots of yummy food, games, presentation on Christ's birth, and Santa even visits.  Last night I captured a few of the highlights according to Maya and Rett.

Maya has been requesting a snowman shirt to wear during the Christmas season.  She brought it up enough times that I thought she should have one, and of course Rett would need one too!
Santa's lap:  Maya did not want to sit on his lap but wanted a gift, she would not turn his direction or look at him.  Rett on the other hand, as soon as he heard his name called he RAN to Santa, jumped on his lap and started unwrapping his gift then and there.
Playing with their gifts from Santa.
Taking their turns at the piƱata.  I was impressed with both of them, they hit it hard.

Temple Square and Snow Day

For Family Home Evening a few weeks ago we headed to Salt Lake to look at the Christmas lights.  We walked by the display windows at Macy's where everything was made from candy and Rett got to ride a "train" (Trax) downtown for the first time.  I'm not sure what the kids were more excited about, the lights or the train?

As for most children, my kids beg every day to play out in the snow.  Here some cute pictures of the fun.

Happy Halloween

We were pretty traditional this year when it came to costumes.  Maya wanted to be a witch and luckily my cute neice Fallyn was a witch a few years ago and let us use her dress, the spiders were a HUGE hit!  I knew putting Rett in a costume would be nearly impossible.  I thought if he was a cowboy he would at least be happy with the boots, hat and gun so I was pleasantly surprised when he only threw a minor fit putting on a button down shirt (he only wants to wear t-shirts) and agreed to the chaps (Thanks Isaac for sharing your costume with us).
Walking up to daddy's work to trick-or-treat around the office.

Heading out to go around the neighborhood, Tommy talked him into the vest (so cute!).

Carving Pumpkins

Monday night we carved a couple of pumpkins with the kids.  As soon as we opened up the top Rett said, "Ewww!"  They both would not touch the "guts" and requested scary pumpkin faces, which apparently means a zigzag mouth according to them.

Breakfast with the witches

This morning was so much fun.  We headed down to Garner Village and had breakfast with the fun and silly witches!  We ate, laughed, danced, and shopped.

Here are the kids sporting their new Halloween shirts before we headed out the door.

Waiting to eat, hanging out with cousins and Aunt Tor Tor.
Snap shot with my beautiful sisters-in-law Tori, Jackie and mother-in-law.
Maya collected a few autographs from the witches.
These kids sure love their grandma!
Grandma spoiled the grandkids with big lollipops.
Busting a move on the stage outside.
We were wiped out by the end and ready to head home for naps.

Birthday Boy

Our little man turned 2 today and I don't know who was more excited, Maya or Rett?  He is all boy and there seemed to be a vehicle theme going on with the presents, exactly what he would want!  He was able to have cake and ice cream with cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandma and grandpa Jensen last night.  Today grandma and grandpa stopped by spoiling him with gifts.  He sure is loved!

Dinosaur Park

We went to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden today with neighbor friends.  Rett is usually the only boy when we all play together but lucky for him it's UEA and Caden didn't have school.

Playing at the playground.

 Digging for fossils.

Pumpkin Patch

Maya's preschool had a field trip to the pumpkin patch this morning.  Rett and I tagged along for a good time.  We played in a maze, had story time, learned about all kinds of pumpkins, and headed out to the patch.  Here are a few pictures of the fun.
