Yea Dora!
Thanks to Dora The Explorer, Maya has a been able to get new hairstyles to added to the mix! I love that she requests (and specifies the amount of) braids, ponytails and hair bows for the day. It was a "2 BRAIDS" day today, now I just have to keep her hands off them.

St. George
To start our 24th of July weekend, we headed down to St. George with Tommy's parents and sister Tori. We went to see "The Little Mermaid" being performed at the Tuacahn and LOVED IT!!
While we where there we tried to beat the heat with some ice cream and playing in the water.

Maya also got to take a few rides on the Merry-Go-Round. She repeated, "This is so fun," over and over again as it went around.
Tommy stayed home with Maya while we went off to see "The Little Mermaid," since it started a bit late and it had many scary/dark scenes (I'm a mean mom, I know). I brought her back a dress (nightgown) to play dress-ups with. It has been worn CONSTANTLY ever since!

Birthday Girl
Maya turned 2 today!
Having a birthday on the weekend means you get a birthday week, I guess.
The fun started with with sending Grandma Walker a birthday card in the mail. Knowing that she shares a bithday with grandma, Maya had to mail herself one too!

Her first present came early, a picnic table from Grandma and Grandpa Walker. She loves painting, water activities and eating meals on it.
Saturday morning she woke up to her very own trampoline!
Saturday afternoon Grandma and Grandpa Jensen brought presents over.
Then, we headed over to Baskin Robbins for her free scoop of ice cream.
Today, she got her last two presents from mom and dad.
And things ended with cake and celebrating at Grandma and Grandpa Jensen's house.
Happy Birthday Ladies!

Fun on the Fourth
We started celebrating the 4th of July with some patriotic pancakes (ended up being pink and blue). Then we got ready to head off to a parade and playing at grandma and grandpa Jensen's house. We had lots of fun with family, swimming, playing and eating LOTS of great food!
