St. George

We were lucky enough to spend a long, 5 day weekend in St. George with Tommy's parents. We relaxed, went on bike rides, swam, visited with family, and ate a lot of yummy food.

Maya's new trailer, unfortunately she doesn't last long in it.

Pumping up my new bike, Tommy bought it for an anniversary gift.

Family bike ride!

My mom was in town visiting my grandma. My grandma helps at the temple Tuesday mornings, we picked her up and visited a while.

Maya learned how to drink from a straw at our favorite Thai restaurant.

We took Maya swimming for the first time at the Rec Center. She wasn't so sure at first, but warmed up to it.

First slide with daddy!

We woke up to Maya standing in her crib waiting for us this morning. She is growing up WAY too fast! (This picture was taken after her too short of a morning nap, hence the tears)

Big Day For Maya

Maya woke up with a 5th tooth this morning. On top of that, she began to crawl today! We have been trying to get her to do it for so long and she would just get frustrated, whine and give up.

We are proud parents today and held back the tears, here is a clip of her in action. Yes, I did bribe her with treats to get this shot. I am a horrible mother I know.

Besides walking around the house, Maya's favorite thing to do is make messes. She has a blast pulling things out of drawers, baskets, bags, etc. She doesn't seem to like to clean up though, must not be as much fun.

Easter

Maya was lucky to be surrounded by LOTS of cousins to celebrate her first Easter. We had a house full with my mom, sister Erin's family, and brothers Jake and Sawyer and his wife Maddie. Maya loved the little girls around, I have never heard her squeal so much.
We headed up to my in-law's house for a huge Easter Egg Hunt, there were over 300 eggs to be found! All the grandchildren got spoiled, as usual, by grandma and grandpa.

Sunday Best

My little family... aren't they so cute!
My sister-in-law, Cami, made Maya this sweater for Christmas and I wanted her to see how adorable it looks on her. Thanks Cami, we love it!

Poor girl, she had her first injury last week and cut her mouth. We were tough (Maya more than mom)!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Maya Update:
She claps, waves bye-bye, and gives kisses when asked. She is not any closer to crawling, even bribing with chocolate doesn't work (she does scoot backwards though). Sitting or playing on the floor is no longer satisfying, she has to walk ALL DAY LONG. All she wants to do is hold on to your fingers and cruise the house. She isn't liking her vegetables so much, we are only down to a select three. Fruits are eaten happily along with spaghetti and a few other dishes. Tooth number three (top right) has appeared, unfortunately she has learned to grind her teeth and it is driving me crazy! She laughs like crazy if you throw and catch things. Music is becoming a favorite, she lights up whenever we walk by the stereo in our bedroom. Since it's been nice out lately (Spring is teasing us for a few days), to no surprise, she loves to go outdoors. She squeals like crazy when she sees dogs or little children. I've let her sit in the shopping cart lately, it's finally warm enough to get her unbundled her from her car seat. She squeals, smiles, and bounces the whole time!
Mommy Update:
I can fit into my favorite pair of jeans, they are just as comfy as I remember! Life is just short of perfect... just need a husband who doesn't get home from work after midnight.

Bundled up

Sunday was such a pretty day, we decided to take Maya outside for a little bit (she really hasn't experienced it since she was 3 months old). There was little wind and it was slightly chilly. We are in Utah and sun doesn't mean it's warm so we pulled out all her winter gear that she has never worn. She had just about every shade of pink on, pretty tacky but adorable!

Birthday Claps!

Happy Birthday Tori!

The last week or so Maya has been clapping a lot.
Here is a little clip of her showing her skills.
