Catch up... Vacation- part 2

Disneyland!!!  We spent two days at Disneyland and California Adventure with my parents.  Thank grandma and grandpa for coming with us, and spoiling the kids!

The highlights for Maya were the princesses, Toon Town, and Radiator Springs Racers.

The highlights for Rett were meeting characters, Cars Land, and playing in water

A lot of the time Rett spent his time like this, eyes closed tight, hugging us, saying "scary."  Things were either too loud or dark for him.  He DID NOT enjoy rides that involved going inside buildings or tunnels.

Catch up... Family Vaction (June/July 2013)- part 1

Tommy had to go to San Diego for a few days for work so we tagged along and made a fun family vacation out of it!  We flew into San Diego and spent about 2 1/2 days there.  We visited the San Diego Zoo and hit the beach!

 

I took the kids to the zoo while Tommy was in meetings.  It was a GREAT experience!!  We had a blast and the kids didn't want to leave.

 

 

 

Of course it was the coldest day that I chose to take the kids to the beach.  They loved it anyway.  To no surprise, Rett loved rolling in the sand and Maya loved collecting shells.  The seaweed grossed them out and Maya is still talking about it.

 

 

 

Playing Catch Up... Dance Recital (May 2013)

The day before Maya's dance recital they had a special Daddy/Daughter Night.  The neighborhood dad's took the ladies to dinner and ice cream before they headed to the dance studio for a dress rehearsal for their "Pixie Dance."

 The day of the show... Maya is waiting to go on stage for their first number.

Cell Phone Happenings

I thought I would take a minute to let you all in on some happenings in our lives.  These are a few moments caught on my cell phone the past month.

Life With Ear Tubes

We woke our little man up early Tuesday morning and headed to Salt Lake.  Rett was very tired, hungry (fasting), confused, and had ear infection #9.  When we got there we were happy to find that Primary Children's Hospital sure knows what they are doing with all the toys used as a distraction. We took a few pictures of the event with our phones.

Put on the hospital gown and getting ready.  He HATED the bracelet they put around his ankle.

He went on wagon rides and cruised in a Cozy Coupe through the halls while waiting our turn for surgery.

 After the surgery, drinking lots of water and wanting to sleep.

It was a very rough day for him, but at 6 pm our happy little guy was back!!
