One Good Lookin' Fam

My sister-in-law put together an "old folks" themed party for her husband Steve's (Tommy's oldest brother) 40th birthday. We had a lot of fun dressing up and enjoying the company of family and friends. And, of course we couldn't get dressed up in costumes without Maya wanting in on the action!

Here is a sneak peek at what the future holds for us:

Definetly has Walker in her

I grew up eating donuts for breakfast as part of our Saturday routine (I'm sure it was to get us to help around the house with chores). Many of my siblings have continued this tradition in their homes. Tommy is not tempted with donuts like I am. Lucky for me, Maya hears the word donut and she is determined to get some.

It has been so rainy around here that we needed some cheering up. Maya and I took a donut run this morning, it's no Baker Ben's (Utah doesn't really have donut shops) but it's good enough.

That's a Walker, she handled it herself well.

Now if only we can have more days like this...

The Lovely Maya

If Maya's not hiding she is dressing up (or dressing her stuffed animals)! She always has something a little extra on. Here's a few pictures from this past week. Maybe it's time to buy some dress-up clothes, do they even make them this small?

Easter

We were lucky to have family come visit us this past week from California. My sister, Erin, drove out with her kids, my mom, and Maddie and Isaac. Unfortunately, things didn't go as expected. All four of Erin's kids had thrown up by the time they got here, we blame Robby's family who were sick the week before. Erin and her kids stayed at a local hotel for a few days as an attempt to keep us healthy.

Well, a few days later Maddie was throwing up, then Maya, and early Sunday morning I joined the crew. Luckily, it was only a 24 hour stomuch flu thing.

The Living Planet Aquarium

We woke up to snow falling and now we're getting ready for bed and it's snowing. Luckily, my cousin Michelle invited us to go the aquarium with her and the girls to cheer us up (Tommy had to work all day). At first Maya was a little overwhelmed by the crowds and things to look at but eventually really began to enjoy herself. The highlight for her were the penguins, alligators, and jellyfish.

Jennifer, Maya, and Emma hanging with the frogs. Maya and Jennifer watching the fish. Checking out the "sleeping jellyfish" (Emma informed us). She loved the jellyfish that changed color (lights in the tank). In the tunnels of the play area. The girls played in the canoe. She is so dang cute!

Spring? Not here!

We got 5 hours of snow this morning, lucky us! When daddy got home from work (before bedtime-yea) these two got right to playing in the snow. Daddy is WAY more fun than mommy!

Lovely, huh?

We can count!

Maya did it! She usually just counts "1..2..3..5" or starts out with "6..7..8..9..10," but during dinner the other night she rattled off 1-10 perfectly. We are thrilled that she remembered the number 4 (it is often forgotten). More importantly, she was able to do it again when asked. It's not a fluke!
