Discovery Gateway

My friend has season passes to Discovery Gateway and invited Maya and me to go with her and her daughter this week. Maya absolutely LOVED IT, to no surprise. We also attended a story time/ art class about the ocean. Maya made a scuba mask and searched for fish around the room. Afterwards we went to the fountains to cool off,. As you can see below, she preferred to watch the fountains instead of playing in them like all the other kids.

Random things we've been up to

On Sunday when I went to do Maya's hair for church I wondered if she'll let me french braid it... yep, she was awesome! Success on the first try, wasn't the best part but it worked.

Father's Day, I was a slacker and this is the only picture I took. Maya helped pick out the wrapping paper (hence the pink), color on it and put bows. I was lucky enough to have my dad in town too. I love you dad!

Lots of swimming already this summer, whether at Grandpa Jensen's or home with friends. This is Maya's buddy from across the street, they are so giggly and squeal together. She has definitely outgrown this pool, guess it only lasted one summer.

Someone is sleeping in a "big girl bed" and it's going pretty good. She has to get up at least once when we put her to bed, she stands at the door until we open it and she goes running to her bed saying "do it by myself." It's funny, she never plays or tries to come out, even in the morning, she just stands by the door waiting.

Baltic Cruise

We have visited Scandinavia and returned. We had a blast, but of course the two weeks only felt like 3 days. Maya did AMAZING on both the flights and boat. She LOVED the one-on-one attention that she got with grandma and grandpa Jensen. I think we would all agree that St. Petersburg was our favorite and Helsinki was the least favorite (not much to see). We collected chocolate bars from each city and are planning to have a Chocolate Tasting Party with my family when they come into town this weekend. Here a just a few pictures of our vacation...
