Busy Two Weeks

We have been on the go the last two weeks. It started with my brother Jake's graduation from BYU. We got to spend time with my mom and dad, Rob, Cami and the boys, Saw and Maddie, and Jake of course. He graduated in Russian and we are very proud of him.

After my family left us we heading down to St. George. We met up with Tommy's parents, Tommy's sister Kris and her family. We went to Snow Canyon and hiked the Petrified Dunes. It was beautiful when you got to the top and looked down. Here is a picture of us at the top.

Tommy and I split off from the group and went to Las Vegas for two days. We stayed at the MGM Grand and went to Phantom of the Opera. Phantom was awesome! The special effects were great and the Phantom sang amazing. It was well worth it. Walking the strip wasn't so much fun in flip flops (I wasn't too smart). The monorail saved us and we were able to just hop on and off to see the casinos we wanted to visit. We were looking forward to seeing the Venetian and Caesars Palace, to compare the architecture to the real thing we saw last year on our cruise. It was pretty cool, but unfortunately they fooled us with the gelato. It was not the real thing. It looked real the way they have it set up. Once they scooped it out it ended up being just plain ice cream!

After our week in St. George and Vegas we came home to a visit from two of my best friends from high school. Maria and Joanne spent the weekend with us and we got to show them the wonderful sites that Salt Lake and Park City have to offer. It was a blast to see the girls again!
