Sewing Projects

Hooded Towel
My favorite towel to dry Maya off is one that a friend made me as a gift. I love it so much I wished I had more of them so I decided to try to make one on my own. I added an applique on the back for fun with some extra fabric I had left over from a previous project.

Maya's Dress

Mom, you would be so proud of me! Your sewing lessons paid off afterall, sorry I was so stuburn and gave up on things easily. Thank you for all your hard work teaching me, it is my new addiction.

I have been lusting after this fabric at Joann's for a while now, I finally got the guts to attempt a dress for Maya. I found that I really can sew, I just was lacking the confidence. I am really pleased with the way it turned out, it's just a little too big for Maya right now. In a couple of months she'll be walking and I'll really be able to enjoy it.

Button holes for the first time, I was scared but they ended up to be extremely easy.
