Let the Countdown Begin...

I made an advent calendar for Maya to countdown the days until Christmas. Today was the first morning to open a tin. The pictures explain it all, she loves it (the candy anyway)!

Thanksgiving Cali Trip

We survived the storms and drove to California and back for Thanksgiving. The Pass was closed on the way down so we stayed the night in Reno. We ate at a buffet and played at Circus Circus, Maya was not happy when we made her leave!

Big Points!

Daddy won a BIG basketball that Maya is sitting on (luckily it stayed at grandma and grandpa's)

California Girl?

Maya may take after my feelings about snow... It looks beautiful when looking out a window of a warm house, not so much when you go outside.

She was in awe all morning while looking out the windows. When we went out to play in it she had a change of heart. I can't say I'm upset about it, we can continue to enjoy the snow together from indoors ALL WINTER LONG!!

I guess a first snow encounter just takes baby steps...

At first, she would only stand at the edge and look at it.

We moved to the backyard where it was a little safer, I guess. She was brave enough to step on snow I put on the patio. Then I convinced her to touch it.
Success!

Happy Halloween from Little Red Riding Hood!
Good thing she loved dressing up in her costume, we had a lot of parties to go to.

Daddy's Work Party

On Friday night, Tommy's work hosted a Halloween Party for the families. They were prepared to have a good time, caramel apple bar, decorating picture frames and pumpkins, and trick-or-treating. Maya had a blast!

Grandma and Grandpa Jensen's Party

Maya enjoyed an awesome Halloween Party at her grandma and grandpa's house Monday night. There were spooky treats, yummy soups, games and fun costumes. It was a hit!

Trick-or-Treat

In Utah, when Halloween lands on a Sunday, we get to celebrate on Saturday. We started our Saturday with a special Halloween donut. Maya got donut eating practice during our California trip a couple weeks ago (A Walker tradition, donuts EVERY Saturday morning). She made Grandma and Grandpa proud.

First time Trick-or-Treating...
When the rain calmed down, we headed across the street to visit a couple houses. Here we are at one of the two stops. Maya wasn't too excited, as expected. She loved handing out the candy, the kids couldn't come fast enough.
