We were able to spend some time in California this past week for my brother Jake's wedding. They were married in the Sacramento LDS Temple.

Smarty Pants
Yesterday I randomly asked Maya if she knew her name... sure enough she did. Not only did she know her first name, but also her last! Blew me away. I call her by her full name often and have pointed out that Jensen is our last name just a few times. I love how finding out all the new things that she picks up on every day.

Recent Obsessions
Maya gets obsessed with songs, she requests us to sing them frequently and they are constantly on repeat in the car. Her recent favorite is "The Daddy Song," along with "I'm a Little Teapot." We're just happy to be passed the "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" phase.
Here she is dancing to her recent favorites...
Beware: Before watching these adorable video of my daughter I must warn you, I am singing on it and it's not pretty. Trust me, you want to put it on mute!

Made with Love
With a daddy/husband who is a CPA (auditor) we don't see much of him this time of year. Maya and I decided to make a little surprise for him when he comes home in the middle of the night. Maya carefully picked the shapes (flower, airplane, heart and oval- her favorite shape), cut most of them out, tested the frosting on each one, and put on the sprinkles. She loves her daddy.

Now don't these look delicious!
