Wedding, Snow and New Years

We got Sawyer married without any problems, except a BLIZZARD! You cannot tell but all of us girls have blankets wrapped around our legs in the picture (Cami's sister Julie saved us!). Poor Maddie had to endure it all in her beautiful dress. It was fun to spend time with the family and enjoy yummy food at Rodizio for the luncheon. Thank you dad!

After sending everyone back home, well almost everyone (Robby and Cami's flight got canceled), we got prepared for Christmas. We spent Christmas here in Utah with Tommy's family. It was a lot of fun and I felt like I was at home, minus the Christmas Chinese dinner.

We brought in the new year down in St. George with Tommy's parents and a few of his sibblings. We played games, ate a lot of great food (amazing breakfast), enjoyed the sunshine, went Go-Kart racing, and even took a trip to Las Vegas. Here is Tommy and his nephew Brek shooting water into a balloon... and their winnings!

Winter has arrived

First of all, we are very proud of our first Christmas tree. Last year we spent the holiday in Sacramento so we didn't bother to do anything around the house. The day after Christmas my mom and I hit the stores for the sales and I picked up this beauty and it's decor. Thank you Martha!

Payton, Mayce and Fallyn...
Check out what happened yesterday, last night and this morning. It snowed a lot for you. You need to come and play with us. Tommy and I need you to build us a snowman out front. And, don't forget those amazing snow angels you do. We cannot wait to have you come to our house in a couple of days. We love and miss you!

Thanksgiving Break Is Here!

A much needed vacation is here, especially for Tommy. Three sections of the CPA Exam are successfully completed and the fourth was just taken yesterday. Now it's just the long awaited results. He has studied hard and is a smart guy so I know he'll pass! I am very excited to be getting five-day weekend. My brother Jake, Tommy and I are hitting the road right after school. Jen, be ready to play with me. CALIFORNIA HERE WE COME!!

Bedroom Furniture!

We finally got all of our bedroom furniture... well, almost! We have bought our furniture in spurts. We are pretty much complete now, unfortunately one nightstand was forgotten on our last order. It is on its way though! The bed is my favorite.

Kindergarten is not for me!

So, I decided to substitute this afternoon since I am off-track. I agreed to help out a fellow teacher at my school, in Kindergarten. Maybe it wasn't such a brilliant idea...

I was thinking they are cute little five and six year olds, I could still sleep in, and it was only three hours. Well, I learned a lot can happen in three hours. I have always thought that Kindergarten teachers should get paid more than the rest of us because of all the extra work they have to do, but I didn't realize all the "extras" that they had too.

To get to the point, in three hours the class managed to get two bloody/fat lips (nurse worthy injuries) and one pee her pants and fill her shoes! There is definitely too much for me to deal with in Kindergarten and it would have to be a pretty big favor to see my face in there again. I like my big Second Graders (two more years makes a HUGE difference)!

Attention those seeking Brandi (Tanton) Richards:

There have been a few of you inquiring about gaining access to Brandi's blog. Unfortunately, I cannot even view it. She hasn't updated it in a long time and doesn't have access to the Internet right now. When she does, she will get it updated and be happy to share it with you all! I can tell you that married life has been good for her. She is busy with school and work, but still has time to spend a little time with me (so she hasn't fallen off the face of the earth).

One Amazing Husband

I just wanted to say thank you to my great husband. Not only does he have incredible upper body strength, he is very thoughtful and kind (as you have noticed below). He was VERY good to me on my birthday. He even surprised me with the cutest fancy Coach Wallet to go with my new "Italian" purse from the cruise. Thank you all for the birthday wishes and thoughts. You should all check out my niece Mayce playing me some harmonica birthday tunes on my sister's blog, just try to block out Erin's voice (Do you think she sounds like Cindy Lauper mom?). Thank you again, you all helped to make it a great day and week for me!
