Proud Fathers and Bath Time

I couldn't resist taking a picture! Bryan (Tommy's old roommate/teammate) and his wife Melissa came over last week and brought us a wonderful dinner. I couldn't help giggling seeing the boys with their little ones.
It was so adorable.
Our boys are all grown up Melissa!

Here is a cute picture of Maya... She is not too fond of bath time but sure loves to snuggle with her ducky towel.

Week #2 with Maya

We got a great report from Maya's 2 week appointment last Thursday. She is a very healthy baby now weighing 8 lbs. (50%), 21 1/2" long (95%), and 14" circumference (50%). Since she left the hospital at 7 lbs. 3 oz. and has gained quite a bit her pediatrician gave the okay to feed her less often and try to get her on a 4 hour schedule. That was happy news to me! Since we have put the schedule into play she is sleeping a lot longer at night.

We decided to bless Maya last Sunday (July 26th) while my parents were in town.
Here are some pictures of our little angel...

Our Beautiful Girl

Introducing Maya Jensen...
July 17, 2009
12:32 am
7 lbs. 12 oz.
21 inches long

The labor and delivery went wonderfully. I ended up waking up Thursday morning with contractions. My water broke and by 2:30 pm I was in the delivery room. All I have to say is epidurals are AMAZING!! Once I got that thing everything was a breeze. She was already down pretty low when I got to the hospital so she came fast and easy. She is a great little eater and sleeps pretty good too, let's hope it continues.

Here are some hospital shots:

Tommy surprised me with some diamond earings!

Having a baby Friday

So, I had my appointment yesterday afternoon and was happy to hear that I am not totally incapable of going into labor and my body is progressing a little. I am dilated to a 1/2 cm, which is better than nothing. We are going to stick with the original game plan. I am going to the hospital Thursday night and starting the fun process. We should have our little girl Friday, thanks for being willing to share your birthdy mom!

The Nursery

The nursery is now finished!
Tommy was wonderful and painted the wall a pink/purple color, it used to be a brown/bronze. My sister Erin made the amazing quilt and my mom made the diaper holder and wipes case. Tommy's parents were very generous to buy us the adorable dresser. It is all perfect!

It still continues...

I had another doctor's appointment yesterday and did not get good news. There is still no change at all. My doctor doesn't want me going past 42 weeks and thinks I will need to be induced. As of now, I am scheduled for a cervical ripening induction on Friday, July 17th. I am told that there is a 50/50 chance that things will result in a c-section that day. I have another appointment on Tuesday and if there is any change the induction will be called off. Wish me luck!

SCHOOL'S OUT!

My last day of school, for who knows how long, was yesterday! It is a bitter, sweet feeling. Thankfully I had an amazing class to end with. I am looking forward to not having to work but I know there is an even bigger task ahead of me. I cannot wait for the day where I get to be the mom who helps out in the classroom, instead of the teacher.

Also had a doctor's appointment yesterday and no change!
